Eagles Cheerleading 2004

The Glen Ellyn Park District Golden Eagles Cheerleading Program is for girls and boys ages 8-14 (grades 3-8 in the Fall of 2004). It is a twofold travel program providing spirited cheering and halftime routines at the Golden Eagles Football games as well as participating in dance and cheer competitions in the Chicago land area.

This sport and leadership program teaches technical cheer basics, sideline cheers, and short dance and cheer routines. While no prior experience is necessary, it is helpful to have dance or gymnastics skills at the older age levels. However, nothing can replace a good attitude and commitment to your teammates. Squads will be organized by age and ability and will be determined by July 1st, 2003. You will be notified by mail. Practices will begin July 28th. We will practice Monday thru Thursday for the first three weeks, then we will meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday thru Labor Day. We rely solely on parent volunteers for committee members, coaches, and team managers to make this a successful program! There will be mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, April 17th at the Main Street Recreation Center at 7 p.m.
