Our Methods

Van Petten Consulting has a proven, successful development methodology for our web solutions. We gain intimate knowledge and understanding of your business and your target audiences. This deep understanding allows us to craft the most persuasive, meaningful marketing messages that entice your audience to take action.

Kick off:

This meeting is to discuss your business needs and objectives. This is an information gathering meeting which helps us to develop a professional recommendation for your consideration.

Development of a proposal:
We will create a bid for services that are delivered for your consideration.

Project scope is defined and agreed upon:
This can include an overall marketing plan, web site plan, monthly promotions plan, etc. Communications strategies and tactics are agreed upon and set into action.

Implementation phase:
This phase includes the delivery of a first draft web site design, promotional campaign, printed marketing piece, etc.

Editorial Phase:
Communication is edited and tweaked through a series of three drafts, until it reaches a “Final Draft” stage and is ready for publication.

Deliver of Final Product:
Final delivery of a web site, solution, or marketing piece can take as little as a month, or as much as three months. The final draft must be approved in writing before it is published online or in print.

Promotional Launch:
When developing a web site, we recommend a full promotional campaign to make the greatest impact on your target audience. This can include: online or traditional advertising; permission and client retention e-mail campaigns; media relations; direct mail; and more.

Understanding your audience and your business:
We methodically get to know your target audience and your business. Through demographic market research, we will understand what makes your audience tick, and more importantly, what persuades them to make a purchasing decision.

  • What product features and functions do they desperately need?
  • What makes them unique?
  • What makes your company unique to them?
  • What makes your target audience feel comfortable doing business with you?
  • Where are your biggest market opportunities and target markets?
